This describes accurately what the site does today, but it has not yet been reviewed by counsel and does not yet cover every jurisdiction WeInDev may operate in. It must be reviewed before launch. Publishing an unreviewed policy that overstates compliance would be worse than publishing this notice.

What this site collects today

At present this website collects nothing. There is no analytics, no contact form and no cookies beyond a single browser-local preference recording whether you chose the light or dark theme. That preference never leaves your device and is not a cookie.

What it will collect

Two additions are planned, and this policy will be updated to describe them precisely before either goes live:

Google Analytics 4. Loaded only after you consent. Sets the _ga and _ga_DFNKSTEKJN cookies, which expire after two years, to measure aggregate site usage. Google acts as a processor. You can decline, and you can withdraw consent afterwards using the cookie preferences link in the footer, which deletes those cookies.
A project enquiry form. Name, work email, company, role, optional phone, and what you tell us about your problem. Collected so that we can respond to your enquiry and prepare for a conversation.

Legal basis and retention

Enquiry details: processed to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract. Retained for 24 months from last contact if the enquiry does not become an engagement, then deleted.
Analytics: processed on the basis of your consent. Data retention will be set to 14 months.
Newsletter: consent, confirmed by double opt-in. Every message carries an unsubscribe link.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Processors used to run this site — hosting, database, email delivery and analytics — are listed here as they are added, and are engaged under data-processing terms.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@weindev.com and we will action it. We will not ask you why.

Client data

This policy covers this website. Personal data we process on behalf of clients during an engagement is governed by that engagement's contract and data-processing terms — see the security and quality statement.
